Known for her commitment to client service and her ability to navigate complex legal landscapes while making her clients feel comfortable, supported, and ready to take action, Margaret Horton Apgar has built a reputation as a trusted advisor in the Dallas business community. An alumna of the University of Texas at Austin School of Law and the College of the Holy Cross, she has more than 20 years of legal experience and a broad spectrum of expertise in corporate law. With a client-focused approach, Margaret combines extensive legal expertise with business insight to provide highly customized corporate strategies and daily counsel so her clients can focus on achieving their enterprise goals.
Margaret is a veteran of premier boutique law firms, including Friedman & Feiger, LLP, and successfully ran two law firms prior to joining her practice with Apgar Wilson. In her over 20 years of counseling companies, Margaret has focused her practice on providing outside general counsel services as well as handling complex commercial matters, which include entity formation, corporate restructures, disposition and acquisition of significant assets, mergers & acquisitions, finance, contract strategy and design, real estate, compliance, and risk management. Margaret has also handled commercial and civil litigation and leans on that experience when assisting her clients with dispute resolution.
In her spare time, Margaret’s current focus is on people and sports – whether capturing time with family and friends, watching her teenagers compete, toggling between Audible and hardcopies for her monthly book club, or playing marginal tennis with her pals at Lakewood Country Club, where she has been an active shareholder for over 10 years.
